Tenerife – the largest of Spain’s beautiful Canary Islands – is home to an enormous amount of creativity, from the flower carpets of the Corpus Christi celebrations right through to world renowned architecture such as Santiago Calatrava’s stunning Auditorio de Tenerife.
It was given the name of Forever Marilyn but, as these pictures prove, this statue’s time in the spotlight was more of a temporary arrangement. For the artist, it may well have brought a pang of sadness to see his 26-ft sculpture dismantled from its spot in the middle of Chicago.
One thing we all love about LA is the street art that pops up around various neighborhoods and landmarks. It’s often fleeting so you need to stop for a moment and appreciate it while it lasts.
Flower bombing is now made fun and easy! With the motto, Throw and Grow, the Flower Grenade originally began as a 2008 concept piece called BioGrenadein biodegradable paper from designer Tony Minh Nguyen.
Seeing street artist Filthy Luker‘s enormous, cartoon-like green tentacles bursting out of buildings and emerging atop monuments brings a huge smile to my face. Honestly, awesome.
